What is macadamia nut butter?
Macadamias, roasted and blended until smooth. It tastes naturally buttery and lightly sweet, softer and less earthy than peanut butter. It is also looser than most nut butters, because we do not add anything to thicken it.
What is in each jar?
100% Macadamia: dry-roasted macadamia nuts. One ingredient.
Almond Macadamia: dry-roasted almonds and macadamia nuts.
Cinnamon Macadamia: dry-roasted macadamia nuts and cinnamon.
Pecan Macadamia: dry-roasted pecan nuts and macadamia nuts.
Cocoa Macadamia: dry-roasted macadamia nuts, cocoa powder (processed with alkali) and honey. Not for children under 18 months.
You will find the full ingredient list on each product page and on every jar.
Do your nut butters contain palm oil, gums or stabilizers?
No. No palm oil, no gums, no stabilizers and no refined sugar. Real ingredients. Nothing unnecessary.
Why has the oil separated in my jar?
That is normal for a nut butter with no stabilizers. The natural oils rise to the top over time. Give it a good stir and it will be smooth again.
How should I store it?
Store in a cool, dry place. Refrigerate for quality.
Where do your macadamias come from?
South Africa. Our macadamias are grown in Mpumalanga, in the country’s northeast, and every jar is made in our own facility in Paarl, near Cape Town.
What allergens do your nut butters contain?
All of our nut butters contain tree nuts: macadamia, plus almond or pecan in our blends. They are produced on equipment used for peanuts and tree nuts under an allergen control program. Please check the label on each jar for full allergen information.
Are your nut butters certified?
Our jars carry Parev and Halal certification marks. You will find them on the label.
How do I use it?
Spread it on toast. Drizzle it over oatmeal or pancakes. Stir it into yogurt, blend it into a smoothie, or add a spoonful to your coffee. It works in baking too.
I have seen other ButtaNutt products. Are they available in the US?
In South Africa we also make plant-based milks and more. In the US we are starting with our macadamia nut butters. Join our newsletter to hear first when that changes.
